Demon Slayer Season 2 Release Date Confirmed On Netflix

Fans of the popular animated series Demon Slayer won’t have to wait too long to watch the second season of the series on Netflix.

Netflix has revealed (via What’s On Netflix) that season 2 of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba will be available on the popular streamer on January 21. With this addition, both seasons to date will be available on Netflix for fans of the series.

“After visiting the Rengoku residence, Tanjiro and his comrades volunteer for a mission within the Entertainment District, a place where desires are sold and demons dwell,” the season synopsis states. “They travel alongside the flashy Sound Hashira, Tengen Uzui, in search of a monstrous enemy that terrorizes the city. Having vowed to kill the creatures of the night, the hunt continues.”

The “Entertainment District” arc began in December 2021 as part of the second season of the series. Meanwhile, the first half of season 2 contained the television adaptation of the “Mugen Train” arc. Shortly after the season ended, Demon Slayer’s social media accounts announced season 3. The third season will cover the “Swordsmith Village” arc.

Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba is a shonen manga series created by Koyoharu Gotouge. Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump published the manga in series from February 2016 to May 2020. The anime adaptation by the studio Ufotable premiered in April 2019. Haruo Sotozaki is the director of the series.
