The author’s official Twitter account has just announced that the manga will make its comeback in Shogakukan’s Weekly Shonen Sunday on August 7th. AI Takes on Light Novel Translation!
Shogakukan is on a roll and launching an ambitious project: the translation of light novels using artificial intelligence. The app “Novelus,” available in 2025 (currently only in the US and Canada), will offer a catalog of light novels exclusively translated by AI. The goal? To make as many stories as possible accessible to readers worldwide. With a release rate of 400 titles in 2 years, it’s safe to say that Shogakukan is thinking big! And that’s not all, a platform dedicated to mangas, also translated by AI, is also in the works.
Spatule Jump: The French Shonen Jump is a Hit!
Frieren Returns promised it, and he delivered! His project of a French Shonen Jump, “Spatule Jump,” was a resounding success during its crowdfunding campaign. With over €200,000 raised, the first issue (250 pages, published 2 to 4 times a year) will soon see the light of day. What’s inside? 5 short stories by French-speaking authors, ready to thrill you.
