So, are you ready for more of Maomao’s adventures? The Apothecary Diaries, the anime that smashed it in 2023, is back in force! For those who are new to this, the story is about Maomao, a young girl sold into servitude at the imperial palace. But she’s not one to just sit back, especially when the imperial heirs get sick. That’s where she uses her medical knowledge to solve mysteries and drive the story forward!
Top-Tier Team and New Voices
Good news, the production team is staying the same, with Norihiro Naganuma as chief director and Akimi Fudesaka as director. TOHO animation STUDIO and OLM are still on board for animation. For voice acting, we’ve got Aoi Yuki as Maomao and Takeo Otsuka as Jinshi. The little newbie is Asami Seto, who’ll be voicing the servant Shisui.
And what about the music? It’s fire, my friends! The opening theme, called Hyakkaryouran, is sung by Lilas Ikuta from YOASOBI. The ending theme, Shiawase no Recipe, is by HIRAIDAI.
