Hunter x Hunter Returns The Long-Awaited Return is Finally Happening!

Hunter x Hunter Returns first up, some news to electrify Hunter x Hunter fans! After what feels like forever, Volume 38 of Yoshihiro Togashi’s legendary manga finally has a Japanese release date: October 4th, 2024. Hunter x Hunter Returns and there’s more! The mangaka recently shared on Twitter that he’s finished chapter 406, hinting at a potential Volume 39 and 40 coming down the pipeline.

My Hero Academia: No Sequel for Our Heroes?

Hunter x Hunter Returns over in My Hero Academia land, the mood is a little bittersweet. The final chapter of the manga was published this week, and mangaka Kohei Horikoshi dropped a bit of a bombshell. He’s decided not to pursue a direct sequel for the time being, wanting to leave the future of the story to readers’ imaginations.

This is undoubtedly a blow for dedicated fans eager to see what the future held for Deku and his friends. On a more positive note, the author didn’t rule out returning to the world of MHA one day, but perhaps with a new project… In fact, Horikoshi shared that he’s interested in exploring the horror genre for his next manga!
